Harddisk size 80Gbytes but after formatted I only got 74Gbytes, where’s the 6 Gbytes?
I read my friend’s blog and found he’s curious why his 80Gbytes harddisk become 74Gbytes after formatted?
I try to find on google.com as usual, and I found that harddisk manufacturing use different unit for Kilo,Mega,also Giga with computer unit. So, when you buy harddisk with capacity 80Gbytes it’s normal to have only 74Gbytes after formatting. Read this:
On Computer:

1 Kbytes = 1024 bytes
1 Mbytes = 1024 Kbytes = 1048576 bytes
1 Gbytes = 1024 Mbytes = 1048576 KBytes = 1073741824 bytes
80 Gbytes = 80 * 1073741824 bytes = 85.899.345.920 bytes
While Harddisk Vendor

1 Kbytes = 1000 bytes
1 Mbytes = 1000 KBytes
1 Gbytes = 1000 MBytes
80 GBytes = 80000 MBytes = 80.000.000.000 bytes
So, having 80Gbytes declared by harddisk vendor means:
80.000.000.000 bytes/(1024*1024*1024) ~ 74.50580596923828125 Gbytes read by your computer
